At Neighbourhood Jobs, young people are supported to develop key skills and attributes for future employment. We achieve this through a careful mix of training, coaching and mentoring in the field.
During their first 6 weeks of paid employment with Neighbourhood Jobs our young employees complete the following units:
- White Card
- Site and tool induction
- Communication within the workplace
- Customer service
- Financial literacy
- Anger management
- Healthy relationships
- Working effectively in a team
- Social media for businesses
Importantly, our young people also spend time with our employment coach developing ideas and plans for their futures. They undertake paid work experience and work with our Team Leader on how to receive feedback and stay open to learning at work.
If you’re interested in employing our young graduates in your business we can tailor our training and development program to suit specific business needs.
We provide ongoing coaching and support to any young graduate of Neighbourhood Jobs once you’ve employed them. Local kids in local jobs = win + win.
